LocationRegents English Language School is part of Regents Theological College, located in West Malvern on the western flanks of the picturesque Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Worcestershire.West Malvern is on the Malvern Hills between Birmingham and Bristol. The local town, Great Malvern, is a short walk or bus ride away. It has shops, parks, two theatres and a swimming pool with a wave machine! It's also just a fifteen minute walk to the top of the hills, a five minute drive to the facilities and shops in Great Malvern and a 20 minute drive to the nearest city, Worcester which is about 10 miles (approx 16 km) from Regents and has beautiful parks and a 1,000 year old cathedral. There is a regular bus service between Malvern and Worcester. At Regents you will find a peaceful atmosphere in which to work, especially in the library! Then, when the mood takes you (and the weather permits!) you can take a walk on the hills to look for inspiration or simply have a break. 
CentreThe school benefits from sharing its facilities with Regents Theological College, including en-suite accommodation in most rooms, fixed-line broadband access in all bedrooms, on-site dining facilities, gym, tennis courts, open-air swimming pool, theatre and over 30 acres of parkland including streams, a pond and a forest! The centre even boasts as their catering manager a former chef from the Ritz in London!Regents English Language School has been running INTESOL Teacher Training courses for 8 years and we pride ourselves on thoroughly preparing you for your future work as a TESOL/TEFL teacher. During the course you will have the opportunity to meet other people and work together to achieve this aim. Our highly qualified staff will ensure that you get the most out of the course and that your stay at Regents is both memorable and meaningful. The staff will happily assist you with any questions you may have, and you will have regular contact with authentic language students. 
Course AimsThe overall aim of the INTESOL Certificate in TESOL is to provide a thorough course which includes a balance between the theory and methodology of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and to thoroughly prepare our trainees for teaching in any environment, in the UK or overseas.We run the 4 week course in May every year. Students wishing to take the flexible course would be required to complete the homestudy element of the course before joining students on the 4 week course for the final 2 weeks. Course Details4 Week TESOLThis is a 4 week onsite intensive face to face course leading to the internationally recognised Certificate in TESOL and Teaching Practice Certificate and it is held at the English Language Centre. Flexible TESOL This consists of 2 weeks homestudy followed by 2 weeks onsite at the English Language Centre. This option leads to the same qualification as the 4 Week TESOL but allows greater flexibility. AccommodationWherever possible, you will be accommodated onsite, however alternative accommodation in local B & Bs may be arranged. Should you wish to live off-site, we can provide you with the contact details of a number of local B & Bs and hotels.The cost of a standard room with small bathroom at Regents is £108 per week. EligibilityApplicants need to have a good educational background. However we welcome applications from those without a formal academic background who are able to communicate clearly in English. Applicants need to be at least 18 years of age, there is no upper age limit. Booking DetailsA deposit of £200 per person, payable to INTESOL WORLDWIDE Ltd is required in order to secure your place on the course (refundable if your application is refused or the course is full). This can be paid through the secure payment facility on the INTESOL website at www.intesoltesoltraining.com or by cheque to INTESOL WORLDWIDE Ltd, 4 Higher Downs, Knutsford, Cheshire WA16 8AW, UK.
