Saudi Arabia

The posts involve up to 25 hours of classroom teaching weekly to Saudi students enrolled in the Intensive English Program.
The university operates a foundation year program for all students in a number of faculties including Engineering, Management, Medicine and Agriculture.
The program consists of classes in English, Math ICT and Critical Thinking.
The core text for the program is based on Touchstone by Cambridge University Press but also employs a new blended learning system.

EFL / ESOL TEACHING POSITIONS IN CHINA
The Beijing-U.S.A. College of English is looking to recruit 5 ESOL / EFL teachers to commence work on 23rd August 2010. There will be an ongoing recruitment program resulting in the hiring of 30 language teachers per year.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: Depending on individual case, salary ranges from 5,000 RMB to 8,000 RMB per month for jobs located in Beijing.
- School Holiday Payment: teachers signing a contract for one academic year will have winter holiday (about 30 days) with salary.During winter holiday 80% of monthly salary will be paid. If the Teacher renews his/her contract for the second academic year 80% of monthly salary will be paid during summer holiday (about 2 months).
- Accommodation: Free accommodation with living room, bedroom, small kitchen and separate bathroom will be provided to each full time English language teacher, including air conditioning, TV, water heater, DVD player, desktop computer (English Windows system), furniture, fridge, microwave, drinking water dispenser etc. Free internet connection.
- Flight tickets: Return flight tickets will be reimbursed upon satisfactory completion of ten months full-time service for the College. Return flight tickets should not exceed 8,000 RMB. At the end of each term, return flight tickets will be reimbursed to the value of up to 4,000 RMB.
- Airport Transfer: Pick-up and drop-off service will be offered.
- Insurance: The teacher shall cover the overseas insurance in his/her home country, and shall be entitled to an insurance allowance of RMB 238 Yuan per month.
- Holiday Arrangements: English language teachers will have public holidays during the duration of this contract: New Year (January 1) one day, Tomb-sweeping Day one day , Labour Day (May 1) one day, Dragon Boat day one day, National Day (October 1-October 3) three days, Mid-Autumn Day one day, Christmas Day (25 December) one day. The exact number of days for each holiday shall be announced annually by the government and subject to the arrangement and notice from the College.
- Extra Working Hours: The Teacher shall be paid overtime at the rate of 100 RMB for each extra period if his/her in-class commitment is over 96 periods per month.
- Visa Support: The College shall provide the teachers with all necessary legal documents including working visa application, residence permit, certificate of health check-up and invitation letter for the period of employment.
- Contract Renewal: If the Teacher is willing to renew his/her contract with the College, an increase of from 5% to 10% in their basic salary will ensue.
- Recreational Activities: The College shall offer at least four recreational trips per year.
- Chinese Language Learning Support: If it is of interest, Chinese Mandarin classes can be arranged.
Job Description
24 face-to-face teaching periods each week. Each teaching period is of 50 minutes duration. Monthly teaching periods should not exceed 96 periods. If the Teacher's weekly teaching periods total less than 24 hours, he/she may be asked to take part in more teaching or other educational activities according to the requirements of the College.
Job Requirements

Contract Period
The contract is signed for one full academic year between 23 August and 23 June. The college also accepts one school term contract which is around half a year, but the teacher will not be paid for the winter holiday in this case.
